GTA 6 Album Spotify Leak: Cardi B and Fuerza Regida

Short answer

Yes, it looks like Spotify spoiled two names early. But it's still a leak, not an announcement.Over the weekend of October 4, the Spotify page for Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album briefly listed Fuerza Regida on Track 10 and Cardi B on Track 19. The names were then pulled. No song titles appeared. ComicBook.com reported that Spotify, Rockstar and Take-Two had not commented when it published, so for now these two artists are unconfirmed.

What showed up, and who spotted it

ARY News and TechWiser both credit the X user Ben (@videotech) with spotting the change. Beebom says @Gameide4 posted it first, with @videotech confirming. All three describe the same thing: two artist credits appeared on the 34-track album listing, then Spotify removed them. ARY says song titles had not been revealed, and ComicBook.com reports the same. So if you came here looking for a Cardi B song name, nobody has one.

What Rockstar has actually confirmed

Rockstar and Atlantic Records announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album on September 17. It has 34 original tracks and launches on November 19, the same day as the game, on streaming services plus vinyl and CD. Six songs are already out: Yung Lean's "That's It" (with Future and Metro Boomin), Travis Scott's "RHYNO", CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso's "Sexy Magic" (with PinkPantheress and Fred again..), Morgan Wallen's "Last Thing You Need", Rauw Alejandro's "Macacoa 2000" and Keith Richards' "Bright Lights, Big City". That leaves 28 tracks without an official artist. Two of them now have unofficial ones.

How a tracklist can show up before launch

Spotify's Countdown Pages let fans pre-save an upcoming album and preview its tracklist. Labels deliver the release through standard DDEX feeds. Spotify hasn't explained this specific slip, so nobody outside knows whether a feed update, a Countdown Page, or something else exposed the names. The general point holds, though: pre-release album pages pull from label metadata, so new credits can show up the moment that data changes.

Spotify or the applicable owners may remove access to particular songs, videos, podcasts, audiobooks and other Content without notice.

This is why the names could vanish without explanation. Spotify's terms let it or the rights holders change or remove content without telling you. Don't treat a listing you screenshot today as final. Credits on an unreleased album can change before November 19.

Our take: this leak helps the campaign

Let's be honest: this is the best kind of leak. Nothing was spoiled about the story, nobody heard an unfinished song, and the album got a weekend of free headlines four weeks before launch. A Cardi B track in a game set in Vice City is about as on-brand as it gets. Fuerza Regida is the more interesting name. Together with Rauw Alejandro and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, it suggests Rockstar is leaning hard into Latin music, and that seems like the right call. The Keith Richards blues cover is still the oddest pick of the first six. We mean that as a compliment.

What's overrated is the panic about "leaks." Even when it's an accident, a metadata slip like this works like a teaser. It gets people refreshing the album page, and refreshing the page leads to pre-saves. If anyone loses here, it's Rockstar's PR calendar, and those two artists will probably get a bigger reveal anyway because people are already talking about them.

Who's affected and what to do

If you're following the GTA VI album

Treat Cardi B and Fuerza Regida as unconfirmed until Rockstar or Atlantic announce them.
Don't expect song titles yet: none appeared in the leaked listing.
Pre-save the album on your streaming service if you want it in your library on November 19.
On Spotify, people who pre-save get a notification on release day, and the album is added to their library.
Physical editions (vinyl and CD) are a separate purchase from streaming.

Free vs paid

You don't need to pay for anything to follow the album rollout. If you're deciding whether a paid plan is worth it for one big release, see our earlier explainer on whether audio streaming is worth paying for.

Optional: compare Spotify plan listings from a third-party seller (a seller listing, not official Spotify access or an endorsement). That link carries our partner code Sk52g, which is how a purchase is attributed to this site. Promotion code UPD3S.
