Perplexity task missing in Computer? Find where to stop it
Find the right screen for your recurring Perplexity task, use the browser fallback, and choose between pausing and permanent deletion.

Where to stop it

- 1. Identify where you created the jobPerplexity distinguishes older tasks created through regular prompts from scheduled tasks created inside Computer conversations. Use the creation location to choose the management screen.
- 2. Remove an older Perplexity TaskOpen https://www.perplexity.ai/account/notifications, select the task, then select Delete. Repeat for each unwanted task: there is no bulk deletion.
- 3. Use the browser fallbackIf you are using the mobile or desktop app, open that notifications URL in a web browser. Perplexity recommends this so the full task management interface loads properly.

For Computer jobs, open https://www.perplexity.ai/computer/automations. This dashboard lists scheduled tasks across conversations, grouped as Active, Paused, and Completed. Open the matching row’s Actions menu. Pause preserves the task for later; Enable resumes its schedule. Delete permanently removes it, requiring recreation from scratch.

Looking for “Stop task”?
The current documentation names Pause and Delete, rather than a “Stop task” control. The documented permanent action is Delete. For a temporary break, follow the Pause instructions.

Our suggested diagnostic
Suppose you want to stop a daily industry briefing. Note its subject and expected delivery time before searching. Compare those details with the candidate task before deleting anything. If several jobs look similar, inspect each one rather than guessing from the title.
For a paused Computer task, the row reads Paused and nothing runs until you select Enable. If you still cannot locate or manage the job, use Help → Contact Support. Include its name, task link if available, displayed status, any error, and the steps you tried.

Our stopping point: after deletion, revisit the relevant list and check that the intended task is absent; after pausing, check its status. If neither screen reveals the job, stop deleting unrelated items and send your diagnostic notes to support.
