Start with account identity

Our suggested order: identify the account on the device where Pro still appears, compare the other device, then retry sign-in. Keep the working device signed in while you investigate, and postpone another purchase until you understand the mismatch.
- 1. Compare the exact email addressesPerplexity’s troubleshooting guide says the addresses should match exactly, including letter casing. Our suggested diagnostic is to record both addresses side by side, rather than comparing only the profile name.
- 2. Find the Apple relay address, if applicablePerplexity documents this iPhone or iPad path: Settings → your name → iCloud → Hide My Email under iCloud+ Features → Perplexity. Touch and hold the listed address to copy it.
- 3. Use that address on Android or WindowsPerplexity instructs users to choose Sign in with Email and enter the private relay address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com. Keep the relay’s Forward to setting enabled so verification emails can arrive. On an Apple device, its guide also allows Sign in with Apple.

Example diagnostic
Suppose the working iPhone shows a relay address, while Windows shows your everyday email. That fails the exact-email comparison. Our suggested next action is to retry Windows sign-in using the copied relay address, then check whether Pro appears.
