Recover an earlier Gamma presentation version
Learn when to use Undo or Version History in Gamma, preserve your current presentation before restoring, and check the recovered content.

Recover your presentation
To recover an earlier Gamma presentation, open the upper-right three-dot menu (…) → Version History, select an available version, and confirm restoration.For your most recent change, use Command + Z on Mac or Control + Z on Windows instead. Restoration replaces the current gamma’s content with the selected version. Gamma recommends duplicating it first if you want to retain the current content.

Our suggested check before and after restoring
Suppose you want yesterday’s introduction but also need today’s revised figures. Before proceeding, inspect your duplicate and confirm that those figures are present. After restoration, check the introduction against what you intended to recover. Keep both copies until you decide which newer edits to carry forward.
Our suggested stopping point
- If Undo brings back the content you wanted, stop pressing the shortcut.
- After restoration, check the specific text, images, and figures you wanted back. Stop when the result matches your intended revision.
- If the needed version is absent or restoration fails, stop experimenting and ask support. Include the presentation link, the approximate time of the desired revision, and what you already tried.
