Korean-market decks, class handouts and thumbnails, not brand systems

MiriCanvas is the default design tool in South Korea. In 2026 people mostly use it for everyday work: presentation decks, school and training materials, YouTube thumbnails, social posts, event posters and product-page graphics. Its real edge over Canva is local. It has templates built around Korean holidays, business formats and typography that you won't find anywhere else.

The company now sells it as an AI presentation tool first: you type a prompt and get back a structured deck. If you don't design for Korean or Japanese audiences, the template advantage shrinks fast, and you're mostly paying for a Canva lookalike with a smaller ecosystem.

What changed in 2026

February 2026: a revised privacy policy took effect.

April 2026: MiriCanvas pushed its AI presentation workflow hard. It added a Conversational Editor for refining generated decks by prompt and Smart Blocks that arrange content automatically, and it claimed 18 million cumulative users. That user figure is the company's own claim, not an audit.

April 2026: the Korean terms of use were revised. They describe three kinds of credits: subscription credits tied to your plan, credits bought separately, and free promotional credits. AI is metered, so don't assume it's unlimited.

May 2026: a revised English Terms of Use took effect. Since then we found no public plan overhaul, but the fine print has moved twice this year, so read the current version rather than a year-old review.

Who a shared plan suits, and who should pay full price

A shared plan suits a student or occasional user who wants premium templates and background removal a few times a month, keeps local copies of everything, and could live without the account tomorrow.

MiriCanvas's terms prohibit transferring your usage rights, or letting others use the service, without the company's consent. They allow suspension, permanent restriction or termination for accounts that break these rules. A shared seat can conflict with those terms, and you carry the risk: losing access in the middle of a project, designs sitting in an account you don't control, and no support from MiriCanvas when it goes wrong. Pay full price, or use the Team plan, if you do client work, depend on a brand kit, or need a commercial licence clearly in your own name.

Before you buy

1. Do your actual job on the Free plan first, including the AI presentation generator. Many people never hit the paywall.

2. Ask how AI credits work on the seat. Credits belong to the account, so other users may use up the same allowance.

3. Plan where your files will live. Pro's larger storage and version history belong to whoever owns the account, so export your work regularly.

4. Read the current terms and the licence agreement before using templates in paid or commercial work.
