Six listeners, one bill, and a filter against AI filler
People use Deezer Family as the music plan for a whole household. You get up to six separate accounts, and each has its own Flow, favourites and recommendations, so a teenager's rotation stays out of a parent's feed. Lossless FLAC comes with the plan, which still matters if you own decent headphones or a hi-fi. Parents set up kids profiles, for children up to 12, to control what plays.
The newer reason to pick Deezer is less obvious. It is the streaming service that openly labels AI-generated tracks and keeps them out of its algorithmic and editorial recommendations. As synthetic uploads flood every platform, that is a real advantage, not a gimmick.
What changed in the last few months
June 2026: Deezer launched a free AI music detector that scans your playlists on other major streaming platforms. Inside Deezer, tracks flagged as AI get a visible label and are left out of recommendations and editorial playlists.
June 2026: Remix Lab launched in France through Deezer Club. Fans can remix tracks from participating artists, with the artists' agreement. It is France-only for now.
July 2026: Deezer said AI-generated music passed half of its new daily uploads for the first time. Listening to it is still small, but this is exactly why the tagging matters.
July 2026: Winamp announced a partnership with Deezer. Winamp's own premium subscription, running on Deezer's streaming technology, is expected in the first half of 2027. It is a separate Winamp product, not an extra for Family members.
August 2026: Deezer Club, the premium-subscriber programme for concerts, listening sessions and events, expanded to Brazil, its first market outside France.
September 2026: Billboard France honoured Deezer for its work on detecting AI-generated music.
Shared seat or your own plan: be honest about it
Deezer's own support page says every Family member must live in the same household. A seat bought from a reseller and shared with strangers can conflict with that rule. The risks are real: the account holder can remove you, Deezer can act on accounts that break its terms, and you have no billing relationship with Deezer if something goes wrong. Playlists and favourites built on that seat can disappear with it.
A shared seat suits a casual listener who wants ad-free, offline, lossless music and can live with losing access. If your library is years of careful curation, if your kids rely on it, or if you want to stay clearly within the terms, pay for your own plan.
Before you buy
Ask whether you get your own member account with a separate login or just a profile under the holder's login. A shared profile mixes your recommendations with theirs and exposes their account.
Count your devices. Family members can link two devices each, so a phone, a laptop and a car already break that limit.
Check which country the plan is registered in. Deezer Club and Remix Lab depend on the country, and the catalogue can differ too.
Find out what happens if your seat is removed, whether it gets replaced or refunded, and keep your own copy of the playlists you care about.

How we read these
Every figure here is read from the seller's own page when the site is built, and stamped with the date it was read. Nothing is estimated and nothing is carried over from yesterday. When a price cannot be read, the row says so instead of showing a zero.
